I too , like John Prophet, am descended from William Paddy Prophet who married Kitty Whetter. They emigrted from the Cornwall area in the South West of England. Now I must check out the Silvester lineage and see if there is any connection back in England. Very interesting stuff.

Y-DNA testing of Sylvester Prophet male descendants

Has there been any Y-DNA testing of Sylvester Prophet male descendants with a direct male line to Sylvester Prophet?

One of our Prophit men has been tested. We are curious about if any other Prophet/Proffit/etc. males have been tested so that we can compare results. You can read more about Y-DNA testing at Family Tree DNA .

John and Jenifred (Elizabeth) are the parents of William Paddy Prophet who married Kitty Whetter. The family is from the area of Recassa or St. Austell in Cornwall England.
